Withdrawing Support From the World Health Organization is a Sin: WPA Sec-Gen.

U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to halt funding to the World Health Organization during this pandemic is a sin, says World Peace Association Secretary-General Sattva Zhang.

In a video address on April 16, Ms. Zhang excoriated world leaders for putting their selfish interests above the well-being of people’s lives. “How can President Trump stop funding the WHO now? This is a very unwise decision.” she said. Watch’s Ms Zhang’s full address here:

World Peace Association Secretary-General Sattva Zhang speaks about the importance of supporting the World Health Organization during this pandemic.

“Every leader in charge of a country, is only in charge for a small stretch on the long river that is time. For the short duration you have, uou should use your wisdom, love, and tolerance to contribute to your country, and to the whole world. This is what a great leader should do. If you use this short amount of time that you’re president to not only not protect your own country, but also to bring about so much harm to the world. This is an unforgivable action.” cautions Ms. Zhang.

The World Health Organization is an important organ of public health governance, under the umbrella of the United Nations. The United Nation was born after the dark days of World War II, thanks to the blood, sweat, and tears of those who came before us. We should not waste all their efforts by undermining these important agencies.

Ms. Zhang calls on all leaders to control the pandemics in their own countries, as well as to help struggling, less developed nations fight coronavirus around the globe.
