WPA Sec-Gen Calls for Compassion and Kindness in New Year

From the raging global COVID-19 pandemic to rising racism, 2020 was a challenging year for many people, notes World Peace Association Secretary-General Sattva Zhang, but these difficulties have taught us that unity is more necessary now than ever.

So many humans are driven by greed, including world leaders who seek territory and power at the expense of their people. “When this kind of selfish desire swells, how can the world not enter a state of chaos?” asks Ms. Zhang.

However, if people control the expansion of their desires, humans can live in harmony with each other and with nature, she says.
