How to use virtue and love to expand your heart, achieve a rich life, and promote peace: WPA Sec-Gen

World Peace Association Secretary-General Sattva Zhang urges all people, both world leaders and everyday citizens, to use love and virtue to improve the world, during these uncertain times. In the midst of climate change, racial and social injustice, and the coronavirus pandemic, many people feel hopeless. But Ms. Zhang wants everyone to know that their actions matter.

“We must understand how to be filial to our parents, respect our teachers, love our country, love all the people around us, try our best to be virtuous, to be merciful and caring, to be a person who helps others and contribute to society. This is very important,” says Ms. Zhang.

In this way, we can improve the world. We must embrace the uncertainty of the world, while also recognizing our the small role each invidious has in impacting nature and society. She says, “I hope that all my online friends know we must be in awe of what we don’t know; Be in awe of heaven and earth; Be in awe of nature. Take care of life, even the lives of animals. We should all be loving and caring. Then the world will be a better place.
